The NP-SB/D SBus FDDI Fiber Interface offers connectivity for SBus classmachines to 100 Mbps FDDI local area networks. Connecting SBus-basedworkstations to a FDDI network delivers extraordinary network and systemperformance to workstation users.The NP-SB/D SBus FDDI Fiber Interface implements a Dual Attach Station(DAS) interface for connection to a concentrator or the dual ring. TheNP-SB/D SBus FDDI Fiber Interface utilizes FDDI standard MIC fiber opticcorrectors and is fully compliant with the ANSI X3T9.5 FDDI standard.FDDI Station Management (SMT) is provided. An imbedded processorimplements FDDI Connection Management (CMT), relieving the host ofrealtime requirements.
